At Leap Then Look Tattoo & Piercing in Clarksville, we make children’s piercings safe, sterile, and stress-free. Here are answers to the most common questions parents ask before bringing their child in.

❓ What age do you pierce children?

We pierce children starting at age 3 and up. At this age, most kids can sit still and understand what’s happening.

❓ What makes your studio safer than mall kiosks?

We never use piercing guns. Instead, we use single-use, hollow needles, which are cleaner, more precise, and cause less trauma to the tissue. This means a smoother experience and faster healing.

❓ What do parents need to bring?

For anyone under 18, we require:

  • Parent or legal guardian present

  • Child’s birth certificate

  • Parent/guardian’s photo ID

❓ What should we expect after the piercing?

We’ll send you home with easy-to-follow aftercare instructions, including:

  • How to clean the piercing safely

  • Signs of normal healing vs. issues to watch for

  • Tips to help kids avoid tugging or touching their new jewelry
